Jamie the Andal

On Jamie's ride away from King's Landing towards The Wall I find him to embody the Andal, as well as potentially to personify the human element that will be brought to the Battle for the Dawn.

Andal introduced knightly culture, Ser Jamie is the Captain of the Kingsguard. Chivalry underpins knighthood, and Jamie rides Honor and Glory to battle.

Andals are of course also allied with The Seven. Jamie on his way North experiences Lancel in the ancient castle of Darry, deep in the bowels of Darry in dedication to the 'new' gods. What this dedication will produce, who can say...

Jamie proceeds to install Bonifer at Harrenhal, with a cultish cadre of men to establish Peace in the Riverlands, and potentially to mete out Justice. It's very medieval Christian, but in alliance with Lancel at Darry it is an unbroken Andalian Seven chain of command throughout the region south of the Trident.

Jamie is not exclusively Andal, but I view him as a rather powerful vessel as he rides forth, the Goldenhand of the Kingsguard, to both protect and represent the majority of small folk in Westeros who are not Northern, and thus worship the new gods. Jamie's weirwood nap is of course another matter entirely.

As we approach TWOW, I altogether think we will be glad to have Jamie the Andal traveling North.
